Grant Campbell
House District 83

"Conservative Champion for Cabarrus & Rowan County"

Born and raised in North Carolina, Grant was part of a hard-working family that often struggled to make ends meet.  He graduated with Honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and remained there after being accepted to medical school.  After completing his residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology, he has taken care of patients in our community for more than 20 years.

After 9/11, Grant learned about the critical shortage of physicians with surgical training in the military and joined the United States Army Reserve.  He was deployed once as a General/Trauma Surgeon to Iraq/Kuwait and twice to Afghanistan.  He completed his military service in 2017 and was honorably discharged from the Army as a Lt. Colonel and has returned to caring for his patients at home.

Over the past several years, he has spent his time advocating for veteran’s issues including recruiting more veterans to run for office, improving economic and educational opportunities for rural NC communities, and making sure rural citizens have the same access to quality healthcare as residents of larger cities.

After seeing countless poor economic policy decisions and the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal, Grant decided it was time to step up and represent the people of his community as a candidate for the North Carolina House.
